Kletzch Park

Collection Time: 12-2 pm
Weather Past 24 hrs: Clear/Sunny
Current Weather: Clear/Sunny
Sampling method: kick-net

General Characteristics:
- Small litter, sediment along bank of stream
- Artificial areas of stream bank stabilization present; no flow above impoundment
- Riparian vegetation extends at least 10-20 ft from bank on each side
- <25% of water surface is shaded
- Stream bottom completely covered in silt
- Brown water, variety of aquatic plants

Sampling method: kicking, flipping, and picking

General Characteristics:
- Small litter common (cans, fishing line, broken glass) in sediment along bank of stream
- Riparian vegetation extends at least 10-20 ft from bank on each side
- <25% of water surface is shaded
- Substratum: cobble, gravel
- Riffles, pools <20% are covered with silt
- Clear water; 10 - 30% of stream affected by algal coating

General Characteristics:
- Occasional small litter, sediment along bank of stream
- Extensive areas of stream bank stabilization (walls, dirt walking paths, etc.)
- Areas of sedimentation  along bank
- No flow above impoundment
- Vegetation extends at least 20-30 ft back from - Edge of bank on each side
- <25%  of water surface is shaded
- Stream bottom completely silted;  Occasional islands of deposition and leaf packs common.
- Brown water, over abundance of lush green aquatic plants; 30 - 70% affected by algae coating

Current Weather: Overcast/Cloudy
Sampling method: kick-net, tweezers/turning over cobble

General Characteristics:
- Small litter common (cans, fishing line, broken glass) in sediment along bank of stream
- Occasional ares of stream bank erosion
- Artificial areas of stream bank stabilization present; rip rap and built up piers
- Some sediment along margins of stream
- Vegetation extends at least 20 - 30 ft from  edge of bank on each side
- Riffles, pools 20- 40 % covered with silt
- Fairly clear of slightly greenish water, 10 - 30 % of stream affected by alagal coating on stream bottom
- Substratum: Cobble, gravel

Hubbard Park

Sampling method: Tweezers/turning over cobble

General Characteristics:
- Occasional litter in sediment along bank of stream
- No stream bank erosion
- Vegetation extends at least 40 - 50 ft from edge of bank on each side
- 25-49% of water surface is shaded
- Riffles, pool < 20% covered with sediment
- Fairly clear or slightly greenish water; 10 - 30 % of stream affected by algal coating on stream bottom
- Substratum: Cobble, gravel
